Privacy policy
This policy explains how Roofero (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use roofero.co.uk, ask for a quote, use our live chat, or contact us by phone or WhatsApp. We follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Roofero is a trading name of Plonico Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17007882) with its registered office at 107 Brondesbury Park, London, NW2 5JL. Plonico Ltd is the controller of the personal information described here. Roofero connects homes and businesses across London with a network of qualified roofing professionals. You can contact us about your data at any time by email at info@roofero.co.uk, by phone or WhatsApp on 07946 872141, or through the live chat on this site.
What we collect
- Quote form: your name, mobile number, email address (optional), postcode, type of roof, the work you need and the type of property.
- Live chat: your name, the messages you write, any photos or files you send, and technical details such as your browser, device and approximate location that the chat system records automatically.
- Phone and WhatsApp: your number, the messages and photos you send, and notes we make about your enquiry.
- The site itself: basic technical data your browser sends to any website, such as your IP address, which is processed by our hosting provider to deliver the page and keep it secure.
We do not ask for payment details on this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey and prepare a quote. Basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To carry out and manage work you book with us, including scheduling, invoicing and aftercare. Basis: performing our contract with you.
- To keep records, protect against spam and misuse, and improve how we respond to enquiries. Basis: our legitimate interests in running a safe, well-organised business.
- To meet legal, tax and insurance obligations. Basis: legal obligation.
We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to, and we do not sell your information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:
- our website hosting and our customer messaging (live chat) system;
- Google, for the spreadsheet and email tools we use to receive and manage quote requests, and to serve the fonts used on this site;
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there;
- the professional on our platform who will survey your roof or carry out the work. We pass on only what they need (your name, contact details, address or postcode and the details of the job), and we tell you who is visiting before they arrive. Once they have your details, they use them for your job as an independent business and are responsible for handling them in line with data protection law;
- suppliers and insurers where needed to do the work you have asked for;
- professional advisers, and public authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on approved safeguards, such as the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to work only for as long as they are useful, and delete or anonymise them within 24 months. Records of completed work, quotes and invoices are kept for up to 6 years, for tax, insurance and legal reasons.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or stop how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email us at info@roofero.co.uk or use the other details above. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive information such as bank details through the chat or form.

Our use of cookies is explained in the Cookie policy.
